Cookie Policy
This policy explains what we store on your device when you visit whiteswansecurity.com, why, and how to control it. Last updated August 2026.
What This Policy Covers
This page lists exactly what whiteswansecurity.com stores on your device and which third-party scripts run here, kept current as that changes, not a boilerplate list of categories that may not apply.
What We Actually Store
| Name | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| whiteswan-cookie-consent | Local storage (not a cookie) | Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it doesn’t show again on this device. |
| _ga, _gid, and related | Cookies, set by Google Tag Manager | Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a tag-management container we use to load analytics and marketing tags. The container script itself doesn’t set cookies; any tags we configure through it (for example, Google Analytics) may. |
| Apollo website tracker | Local storage + requests to aplo-evnt.com and d-code.liadm.com | Identifies the companies of visitors to this site for sales follow-up, using Apollo.io’s tracker and LiveIntent’s identity-resolution service. Does not identify individual visitors by name from anonymous browsing alone. |
The cookie-consent entry is stored using your browser’s localStorage, never leaves your device, and is never sent to us or any third party. GTM and the Apollo tracker are third-party scripts, described above and in the “Third-Party Scripts We Run” section below.
Third-Party Scripts We Run
Google Tag Manager loads from googletagmanager.com and lets us manage analytics and marketing tags without editing site code directly. Apollo.io’s website tracker loads from assets.apollo.io and identifies the companies of visitors to this site for sales purposes, using LiveIntent (d-code.liadm.com) for identity resolution. Neither is used to serve you ads.
Third-Party Pages We Link To
Our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Disclaimer are hosted directly on whiteswansecurity.com, not by a third party. Datasheets and whitepapers are also served from our own domain. LinkedIn, linked from the footer, operates under its own cookie policy that we don’t control.
Managing or Clearing This
Clear your browser’s local storage for this site at any time to reset the notice: it will reappear on your next visit. Every major browser exposes this under Settings → Privacy → Site Data (wording varies by browser).
